We are so excited for you to join us in the Finger Lakes! If you are spending an extra day in the area, here are some of our favorite places to explore close to the wedding venue.
Wineries & Tasting Rooms
Seneca Lake:
- Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard — A Finger Lakes classic, known for world-class Rieslings. One of our favorites.
- Standing Stone Vineyards — Gorgeous views over Seneca Lake and a relaxed tasting atmosphere, which was a favorite of Grandpa Dex.
- Red Newt Cellars — Great wines and a cozy tasting room that makes you want to linger. Tigran is a member of the wine club because the wines are so good.
Cayuga Lake:
- Hosmer Winery — One of the oldest wineries in the region, which is also committed to sustainability.
- Sheldrake Point Winery — A lakeside gem on Cayuga Lake, perfect for sipping wine outdoors.
Parks & Outdoors
- Buttermilk Falls State Park — Our favorite spot for hiking and waterfall views; there are trails for all levels and picnic areas.
- Taughannock Falls State Park — Home to the tallest waterfall east of the Rockies; there is also a flat walking trail to the waterfall, a playground and swimming area.
- Watkins Glen State Park — Famous for its dramatic gorge trail and multiple waterfalls.
